The walkways and stairs were well structured and impressive considering how narrow passages are and how wet the floor is.

We definitely recommend stopping here! We couldn't get tickets for Mammoth Caves until later this week, so we thought we'd give Diamond Caverns a try! We were really impressed. It's very cool going through a wet cave! On our mammoth caves tour (which was really great) we saw about 10 minutes of stalactites/stalagmites, but here every turn is cave bacon, cave popcorn, and other sights! It was very apparent that our guide cared a lot about the cave and was excited to be sharing this with us.

Really cool cave. Recommend stopping here. Guide was nice and informative. Rushed a little in the beginning but slowed down. The cave is beautiful. Lots of bacon and coral. Cool history as well.

Cool place to see! We always visit Mammoth Caves when we can but never really paid much attention to any other cave systems until this year. Don't miss the chance to see Diamond Caverns! They're definitely smaller, but just as interesting to see. It's a completely separate cave system from Mammoth Caves and has a different look and feel. The tour guides were knowledgeable, had a neat (and more expensive) gift shop.

Overall, amazing cave and tour! When we're back in the area for our caving fix, we'll definitely be back!

Being a wet cave, it is definitely slippery in some parts, so when you do go make sure to listen to the guides when it's time to be careful.

Glad you guys don't take reservation because if you did I'd of never gotten to see this amazing cave because of eclipse crowd. Crazy you guys predate the creation of the national park service. Would highly suggest. They were SLAMMED when I visited. Still very clean and very friendly. They even gave me a map and marked other places to visit. So really excited about that. Stairs are tough though! Will definitely come back again when less people are there for better pictures.

My boyfriend and I love caves! We saw Diamond Caverns on our way to Mammoth Cave and were disappointed to find Mammoth was nearly all sold out by 9:30am! After our only tour at Mammoth, we came to Diamond Caverns and were blown away by its beauty. Definitely a hidden gem in Kentucky and by far our favorite cave on our caving trip. Our guide, Steven, was very knowledgeable and made the tour a great learning experience, as we learned more about how wet caves work and form, as well as the history surrounding Diamond Caverns. Out of all the caves we visited in the area, no one has mentioned the cave wars or anything about federal cave laws that were created to protect them. Fascinating!
